Mari joined the Jewkes Firm in January 2023, and brings with her over 25 years of legal experience. She was born in Queens, NY and raised in Stockbridge, GA. She graduated from SUNY Maritime College in the Bronx, NY in 1995 with a degree in Meteorology & Oceanography and a minor in Environmental Science. After graduation she worked for the American Hull Insurance Syndicate adjusting claims for the shipping industry, and GAB Robins as insurance adjuster where she focused on personal injury and property and casualty. She also specialized in handling the subrogation claims for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, NY.

After moving to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1998, she entered the legal field, working in collections, real estate, and personal injury. She graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in 2004 with her Paralegal Certification.

She is a current Notary Public, and in her spare time she is active in the Maritime College Alumni Association. She also volunteers for Dragoncon, one of the largest Multi-Genre Conventions held in Atlanta every Labor Day Weekend. She and her husband Ken reside in McDonough.
