Mark A. Kerr is a litigation attorney at The Jewkes Firm, LLC , with his entire career spent in the courtroom. Mark began his career as a criminal defense attorney in the Metro Atlanta area. He has successfully represented individuals charged with misdemeanors and serious felonies. Criminal defense is demanding—high stakes, hostile witnesses, and persuading juries—and it shaped the courtroom instincts he now applies to personal injury cases. For example, reading juries mid-trial, adjusting cross-examinations on the fly, and staying composed under pressure are skills he developed early through repeated real courtroom experience.

Next, Mark transitioned to civil litigation, representing individuals, businesses, and insurance companies in premises liability, automobile, trucking, and transportation defense. Mark earned his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2017 and his B.A. from Howard University, one of the nation’s premier historically Black universities, in 2012. He was admitted to the  Georgia State Bar in 2017 and is a member of the Gate City Bar Association, Georgia’s oldest African-American bar association.
